Located in the centre of Ramsbottom, The Theatre Royal is home to the Summerseat Players a group which is rapidly approaching it's 50th anniversary. The year long programme of plays and shows are regularly sold out making it one of the best attended amateur theatres in the country.Having been redeveloped in 2009 this former cinema is now a fully accessible with excellent facilities. The main theatre seating 240 and the new, studio theatre seats 60. The theatre also hosts Reel2Reel cinema which screens films once a month.
