This park is made up of around 60 hectares of former colliery now transformed into woodland and as a key location on The Irwell Sculpture Trail as home to the Ruckreim cluster. The 4km Outwood Trail passes through the park, crossing the spectacular Outwood viaduct on route and linking with the national cycle network.
