Bury Art Museum is committed to lowering its carbon footprint, one of the ways we are doing this is by replacing the amout of plastic bubble wrap we use. We are launching an Eco-Sewing Circle every other Thursday in the gallery. The first one will take place on Thursday 5th May between 2pm and 3.30pm. All you need is to be able to hand sew a basic running stitch and if you can't we will teach you. If possible, bring your old fleece blankets and curtains so we can ruuse them and re-purpose them into quilted covers for our Perspex plinth display tops.
The session is informal and a chance to meet new people as well as helping out the museum.
