Nature Reserves
Enjoy peace, tranquility and wildlife in our Nature Reserves across the borough. With rich and varied habitat, excellent scenery, watercourses and wildlife relax and unwind whilst only a short distance out of town.
There are six local nature reserves in Bury, Philips Park, Chesham, Hollins Vale and Redisher Wood, near Holcombe and Kirklees Valley and chapelfield near Radcliffe which was designated in 2014.
The Local Nature Reserve designation gives recognition of a site for its importance to wildlife, education and recreational value.
