‘When the World Stood Still’

Back in May 2020 Bury Grammar School launched a photography competition titled, When The World Stood Still. This involved our Whole School Community; pupils, families and staff were asked to submit photographs of their interpretation of what lockdown meant to them. This heart felt exhibition is a very moving narrative of a time in history which we will never forget.

Bury Choral Society Concert

In Memoriam

Founded in 1838, Bury Choral Society is one of the oldest in the country.

Round off the Bury Town of Culture Open Day by attending their concert in Bury Parish Church on 20th November at 7.30pm.

In Memoriam is dedicated to the memory of those we have lost during the Covid pandemic and a tribute to the many who are working to help us through it. The music will include Zadok the Priest by Handel, Rest in Peace by Peter Skellern, a piece from That Day We Sang by Victoria Wood and will finish with the beautiful and moving Requiem by Faure. Tickets can be bought on the door at £12 and £6 for those in full time education.
